Key Features & Benefits

53% Renewable Starch Loading

Each pellet carries 53% plant-derived starch by weight, replacing a substantial portion of petroleum-based PE in the final film and reducing material carbon footprint.

Direct Drop-In on Standard PE Lines

Designed to blend with LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE on conventional blown film equipment; no machine modification or screw replacement required.

Material Cost Reduction

Starch is priced below virgin PE resin, allowing film and bag converters to lower per-kilogram raw material cost by 10–25% depending on loading ratio.

Partial Biodegradation Profile

The starch fraction is consumed by microorganisms in soil, compost, or microbial environments, accelerating disintegration of PE film and reducing persistent plastic residue compared with neat PE.

Anti-Static and Print-Friendly Surface

Natural starch content imparts mild anti-static behavior and improves ink adhesion, supporting cleaner printing and easier bag opening on high-speed lines.

Consistent Pellet Quality

Uniform cylindrical pellets with controlled moisture and melt flow, ensuring stable dosing, even dispersion, and repeatable film thickness across production runs.

PE-Starch Filler Masterbatch — 53% Bio-Based Starch Compound for PE Blown Film

Applications:

• T-shirt / vest shopping bags and produce bags

• Garbage and bin liners for municipal and retail programs

• Courier, mailer, and general-purpose packaging films

• Agricultural mulch film and industrial wrapping

• Disposable PE items: gloves, aprons, tablecloths, rainwear

• Bio-based content claims for brand-owner and retailer ESG programs

Processing Guidelines:

• Dry pellets at 70–80°C for 2 hours before processing if moisture exceeds 0.8%

• Purging with 100% LDPE before and after production prevents starch residue

• Allow freshly blown film to cure for 24 hours before bag making; tensile and tear properties improve significantly after moisture re-equilibration

• A mild baked-starch aroma at the die indicates correct processing temperature; reduce temperature if a burning smell appears

Important Notice:

This is a PE-compatible additive masterbatch, not a standalone compostable resin. It must be blended with PE resin before film blowing — it cannot be processed directly. Films produced from this blend contain PE and are not certified EN 13432 / ASTM D6400 compostable; they are positioned as a lower-cost, partially bio-based, partial-biodegradation alternative to conventional PE. For fully certified compostable films, please refer to our PBAT/PLA Compostable Resin (Section 2.10).
